Evacuation Orders Issued After Propane Truck Overturns In Bucks County

Doylestown residents within 2,000 feet of an overturned propane truck were urged to evacuate their homes Monday morning, Oct. 16.

The truck crashed along Ferry Road near Old Iron Hill Road sometime before 9:45 a.m., according to police. 

About an hour later, authorities said the crash had "created a hazardous situation in the area" and everybody within 2,000 was ordered to clear the zone. 

"Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in this emergency," said Doylestown police.

"Please share this information with your neighbors, friends, and family in the affected area. Your swift and safe evacuation is crucial to ensuring the well-being of our community."

Authorities said they will post updates to the Doylestown police CrimeWatch webpage. 

Ferry Road remains closed from Old Iron Hill Road to Limekiln Road as crews clear the scene.
